The Polish Open took place in Olsztyn last 3rd and 4th of September, a international championship with a view to define the team that will participate in the European Championships that will be disputed in Latvia at the beginning of October.

Emilio de Toro, member of Hnos. Argudo School, and summoned by the Spanish Team, did 2 combats.
He won his first combat with a competitor from Poland, going through to eighth of final.
He fought against Great Britain, with a competitor of Iranian origin. Emilio did a magnificent combat, he began winning but the end of 3rd round was 4-4. The combat had to be decided in the sudden death that was in favor of Great Britain. This competitor became champion at the end of the Championship.
